Who Should Consider a Boat Ride in Regensburg
For a bachelor party that won’t end up at yet another bar. For a birthday where no one wants to take charge of the barbecue. For companies looking for a team-building event that doesn’t feel like a seminar room. And for anyone who just wants to spend an afternoon on the water without having to drive all the way to a lake. If you’d rather sit back and enjoy the view, take a rowboat with a guide. If you want to steer it yourself, take the raft.
The Route: The Danube between Regensburg and Bad Abbach
Boating takes place on the stretch between the locks at Regensburg and Bad Abbach. Lock passage is not permitted; the boating area is clearly defined. But you’ll have the Danube floodplains all to yourselves: calm waters, riverbanks, and passing ships.
Safety While Boating on the Danube
There are life jackets or flotation devices for everyone on board, in sufficient numbers and in accordance with Bavarian regulations. The person steering the raft must have a blood alcohol level of 0.0. For the rest of the group: Alcohol is fine, but drink responsibly—you’re out on the water. All passengers must be of legal age. In case of heavy rain, you can reschedule to an available date or receive a credit. In the event of a hurricane or flooding, we’ll cancel the trip and you’ll receive a refund or a gift certificate.
